@EdKrassen Voter registration should be a step beyond simple eligibility and automatic enrollment. It shouldn't be arduous, but it should definitely be something you opt into, confirm, and update your information with on a more regular basis than whenever you get a new driver's license.

Explain this, all you pro-Voter ID advocates: Why don't we automatically register every eligible voter, and then have state databases that store their IDs virtually? That way, every legal voter can vote, and every person can be confirmed to be a legal voter without needing a physical ID. This would solve virtually every problem, but for some reason I don't think Republicans would support this because they know when more people vote, they usually lose elections.

The whole idea of "incompetent to stand trial" is fucking nonsense. If you're too "incompetent" to understand that you shouldn't butcher an innocent woman on the train, you should die. Period. Arrest, convict, execute. You are not fit to be a part of human society. How many more innocent people must we sacrifice for the sake of coddling and babying the absolute scum of the Earth? Our ancestors had it right. They would have had this guy hanging from the gallows an hour after conviction. The old system of justice was light years better than this insane bullshit we're dealing with now.
