“The Jewish story is embedded in freedom, and it is through the Passover Seder that we pass down, from generation to generation, the inspiration to create a better tomorrow — not just for our children, but for all children.”
Honored to lead the Model Seder at the @UN with Ambassadors from across the world hosted by Israel Ambassador @dannydanon #pesach

In this latest issue of YU Today, you’ll see something powerful.
Not just achievements—but momentum.
From New York to Israel and across the world, our students, faculty and alumni are advancing a mission rooted in Torah, guided by values, and driven by excellence.
As I wrote:
“Individually, their accomplishments are impressive. Collectively, they represent a future defined by purpose, hope and boundless potential.”
This is Yeshiva University today.
A community of builders.
A generation of leaders.
A force for impact—here and across the globe.
And we’re just getting started.

It was a profound honor to present the Eitz Chaim Award to Elliot Gibber—an unwavering pillar of strength for Yeshiva University leaving an imprint through your dedication. #YeshivaDinner #YeshivaUniversity

What a profound privilege it is to help cultivate the soul of Yeshiva University—where our Beit Midrash pulses with the depth and vitality of Talmudic scholarship. Here, our sacred literature is not only preserved, but lived, studied, and carried forward with unwavering authenticity for generations to come. This is our story: where ancient wisdom meets the curiosity and promise of tomorrow’s minds. #RoshYeshiva #YeshivaUniversity

Hundreds gathered for a sold-out Yeshiva Dinner celebrating the living chain of Torah that defines our Yeshiva — from rebbe to talmid, from generation to generation.
We were proud to honor Elliot Gibber, recipient of the Eitz Chaim Award, for his extraordinary leadership and enduring commitment to sustaining Torah learning at Yeshiva University and RIETS.
We presented the Amud HaTorah v’HaMesorah Award to Rabbi Yaakov Neuburger, whose decades of teaching as a rosh yeshiva have shaped generations of talmidim through depth of learning, clarity of thought and personal guidance.
We also celebrated Rabbi Dovid Miller and the alumni of the RIETS Israel Kollel with the Torat Tzion Award, recognizing more than fifty years of immersive Torah learning in Eretz Yisrael and devoted service to Klal Yisrael.
Together, we reaffirmed our sacred mission of L’hagdil Torah u’L’ha’adirah — strengthening Torah leadership today and for generations to come.

So proud of Coach Elliot and our YU Macs. I love their fight, character and excellence. Such an honor to be with them for their Sweet 16 game and for Shabbat in Atlanta. As this season comes to a close, their inspiration to me, our university and people throughout the world continues.

A dear personal friend, friend of Yeshiva University, ally to the Jewish people, and defender of the West, free markets and liberty - Javier Milei.
It was truly a pleasure to welcome you and be with you in our community. We are inspired by your values and character.

YU’s Great Conversations series continues with a global dialogue on economics, leadership, and the responsibilities of public policy.
We welcome President Javier Milei of Argentina, whose economic reforms and fiscal policies have sparked global dialogue and attention.
For our students studying economics, finance, and public policy, this is a distinct opportunity to engage with a sitting head of state confronting some of the most complex economic challenges of our time.

“In this solemn hour, as courage stands watch in distant lands, we gather our voices in prayer for those who bear the weight of battle.”
This is how we open a championship game at Yeshiva University — with gratitude for the brave men and women who serve, and with prayers for their safety.

One of the most exciting sporting events I’ve ever been to. Congrats @YUathletics

In this moment of profound consequence, we stand with moral clarity in support of the United States of America and the State of Israel. Operation Epic Fury and Operation Roaring Lion reflect the solemn responsibility of democratic nations to defend their citizens, protect their sovereignty, and confront forces that threaten innocent life and regional stability.
We recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the United States Armed Forces and the Israel Defense Forces who stand on the front lines to safeguard freedom, and are deeply grateful to President Donald Trump for his bold and decisive leadership in confronting threats to the security of the United States.
Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters in Israel who are sheltering for safety amidst Iran’s attacks and with all civilians who are in harm’s way. In our community and in communities around the world, this is a time not only for resolve but for prayer.
May we soon witness days of safety, healing, and enduring peace — built on security, justice, and the recognition of the divine image in every human being.
