Davos Doesn’t Predict the Future. It Issues Orders.
(Videos in part 2 for context)
Everybody at Davos is a parasite in a suit.
But the direction of travel is real.
They’re not “debating the future.”
They’re briefing the managers.
They’re selling the installation.
And the installation has one core requirement:
Keep the public trapped in a fake binary long enough to build the grid.
Today’s favorite binary?
US vs China.
Not because it’s “the biggest story.”
Because it’s the perfect control spell.
Davos Runs on One Axis: Control vs Humanity
Davos doesn’t run on left vs right.
“Left vs right” is for domestic audiences.
For peasants on phones.
For people still treating politics like it’s real.
At the global level, the dialectic gets upgraded:
US vs China is the new left vs right.
Two costumes. One Beast.
One hand sells the cage as freedom.
The other sells the cage as order.
Same outcome: total visibility + total compliance.
If you think they’re true enemies, explain why both sides keep converging on the same toolkit:
•data capture
•biometric ID pressure
•AI risk scoring
•platform policing
•financial choke points
•surveillance sold as security
Different flags. Same architecture.
The World is Splintering Into Three Empires of Control
The Davos class isn’t watching the world “globalize.”
They’re watching it fracture into regional control blocs with shared logic.
Three pillars. Same destination.
1) Trade & Money: Tariffs as a Rerouting Engine
Chaos MAGE Trump’s tariffs didn’t end globalization but forced reroutes.
Supply chains didn’t evaporate just repositioned.
Firms moved lanes, swapped intermediaries, diversified chokepoints.
So while headlines screamed “America First”, the rest of the board reacted by building:
•alternate routes
•alternate suppliers
•alternate dependencies and supply chains
Not deglobalization.
Replatforming.
And the lesson “middle countries” are learning is brutal and simple:
If you don’t coordinate, you get squeezed between giants.
Which is why Davos rhetoric keeps circling the same warning:
“Middle powers must align.”
“If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu.” - Carney
And here’s the punchline:
Trump plays the chaos mage perfectly, shake the board, force reactions, dominate headlines… while everyone else quietly builds around the turbulence.
2) Data & Privacy: Sovereignty as the New Border Wall
The next front isn’t oil barrels.
It’s data barrels.
The new border wall isn’t made of steel.
It’s made of servers, regulations, and legal jurisdiction.
•EU: tightening cross-border transfer rules and making privacy a weapon of jurisdiction
•China: treating data like a strategic resource, codifying control through security frameworks
•US: asserting reach through national-security logic
Result: regional data blocs.
US stack.
EU stack.
China stack.
Same goal: own the pipes, own the people.
Everyone wants the same thing:
host the servers, control the standards, keep the keys.
3) AI: The Space Race Psychology Rebooted
Now comes the accelerator: AI.
WEF language wraps it in destiny:
“innovation,” “safety,” “competitiveness,” “responsible governance.”
AI is being sold like the space race:
“If we don’t win, they will.”
That narrative is powerful because it unlocks blank checks:
•more surveillance (“to secure the model”)
•more centralized compute (“for safety”)
•more censorship (“to stop misinformation”)
•more emergency powers (“because China/Russia/terrorists”)
And it works because it hijacks the oldest human lever:
fear of the other tribe.
