ShinyHunters hacked them through a third-party tool called Anodot. not even Rockstar directly.. just a billing analytics app they trusted.
they grabbed 78.6 million records from Rockstar's Snowflake cloud.. set a deadline of April 14.. said "pay or we leak".
Rockstar said "limited non-material information.. no impact on players"..
the deadline passed. they didn't pay. the data is now public.
this is the same group that already hit Google, Microsoft, AT&T, Ticketmaster, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, IKEA, Adidas, McDonald's and Walgreens.
GTA VI launches this year.. and somewhere in that 78.6 million records are probably contracts, financials, and marketing plans Rockstar never wanted you to see
the weakest link wasn't Rockstar.. it was a vendor they forgot about

@MadGamezYT @DPJ1187 @videotech Rockstar devs already stated preproduction started shortly after the release of GTAV. Such as story, writing, quests, etc. production like coding, animation, world building, etc didn’t start until right after RDRII.

@DPJ1187 @videotech You know they only REALLY started GTA VI development in 2018 after they finished RDR2. And I doubt they did much before RDR2.
Probably just planning and scripts for voice actors and all that.

However, if I’m being honest, what we’re seeing GTA VI does make me think the game won’t look as good as pre release
