But then I paused and asked myself… How did all this even start? Let me tell you the real story 👇 Back in 2017, long before most people noticed it, @MultiversX started as Elrond. Founded in Romania by @beniaminmincu, @lucianmincu, and @luciantodea. The goal was simple to say… but very hard to achieve: Build a blockchain that solves the trilemma, security, decentralization, and scalability all at once. Instead of following the usual path, they introduced something bold: Adaptive State Sharding. A system designed to split the network into parts, so it can process transactions faster without sacrificing security. Then in 2020, mainnet went live. From day one: Fast transactions. Low fees. Real usability. Then came 2021. The bull run. $EGLD exploded. ATH around $500+. Everyone started paying attention. Elrond wasn’t just another chain anymore It became one of the most talked-about Layer 1s. But as we all know.. crypto moves in cycles. 2022 came with reality. Prices dropped. Hype faded. And right in the middle of that, the team made a bold move They rebranded from Elrond to MultiversX. A shift toward: Web3 experiences Metaverse infrastructure User-first products like @xPortalApp Some people understood it. Some didn’t. And honestly that’s normal in crypto. Security is a must in the digital world and it has to be tackled with full strength. April was pretty bad for crypto when it comes to hacks, I think every single day there was a hack in smart contracts, or bridges, or validations, or oracles. The agentic era speeds up the discovery of errors / bugs 🐛 and this means engineers need to slow down sometimes in creating new features and spend a bunch of time in auditing and reauditing everything, with all the available tools. Supernova is coming and security / consensus mechanism wise is at another level compared to anything known before. And we are hardening even more, fixing all edge cases, all things which would degrade performance. Time to Build more! This is MultiversX!
