Carlos Queiroz has submitted his provisional squad to FIFA for the 2026 World Cup.
Name ONE player that should be on that list that isn't on most people's radar.

Ahead of Mother's Day on Sunday, I took time to reflect on precious moments with my late mum, Hagar Akosua Afrah, Kwaa - as we lovingly called her, who passed on 2nd May, 2014 (12 years ago).
Some of life's most enduring lessons are formed long before we fully grasp their significance.
In Kwaa's quiet guidance, I learnt a few things worth sharing:
1. To place God at the centre of all things.
2. To persevere with determination. Never give up.
3. To show respect for all, no matter where they come from or who they are.
4. And finally, to do what is right even when no one is watching.
These principles have remained a constant guide throughout my life.
I'm truly grateful for you, Kwaa.

@KBTH_GH your failure to condemn the statement made by the physician and calling him out for that reckless comment will create a window for individuals in the health care field to continue with such unprofessional conduct.

One day at the corridors of the National Labour Commission, an authority revealed to me a group had threatened that they will shut down the health system if they give in to the demands of the Medical Laboratory Scientists.
Unfortunately, this was during a walk at the corridor and if I even submit such a claim to the commissioner, I am sure the authority was going to deny.
I have come to realise that the laws are not allowed to always work especially when the parties have different levels of engagement and playing fields.
If not, why has it been so difficult to resolve the impasse between Medical Laboratory Scientists and Physicians when the law is clear by definition and regulations?
By definition:
The definition of medicine by the law that regulates our healthcare delivery in Ghana defines medicine as "“medicine” includes surgery, anaesthesia, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, public health, internal medicine, radiology and radiotherapy;". Why the imposition of a title and position that is not recognised by law.
Could it be an oversight? I don't think so because the professionals in the medical laboratory space are competent and even to the of Consultants from the West African College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS). If it was an oversight, then let's take steps to let the law accommodate everyone with any perceived role conflict. Until then, no one should feel they have a special air of importance and right to take over.
I have documents to show that even though the discussion is about access which has never been a problem because everyone who needs access including cleaners get it to work in the laboratory space. IT HAS BEEN GOVERNANCE and HEADSHIP.
By Regulation
Medical Laboratory Professional are regulated under Part 1 of the ACT 857.
Medical Doctors are regulated under Part 2 of the ACT 857.
Do these not suggest a difference under governance structure? Is it too hard to see?
The denigration
It is sad that because we want to achieve our goal, we do not care about the damage our comments will do whether grounded on facts or falsehood.
My dad was one time fighting with one business man who shares boundary with his property. During the exchanges, he told the business man that he deals with money rituals (wagye sikadro). After the fight, I asked him if that statement was true and the rituals had been the source of the man's riches? He told me that during a fight, your aim is to hurt and beat the person and there is no formula and rule. The man had had an accident which led to the amputation of a ring finger. So everyone around seeing that damage may think that the insults were true.
That thing and knowing that words once voided can never be taken back and may have lasting dent on the person or place made me to be cautious even in anger about what I say. I am not perfect though. From my own personal experience, our quest to rule should not be a reason to denigrate another because we want to take over that person or place. You may need to work hard to clean the indelible mark your own words created even if what you said was true. Medical laboratory results are generated with margins of errors just like any procedure worldwide. It takes quality management systems to minimise these errors to give reliable results worthy for patient management. And if Korle Bu has attained international accreditation for the laboratory, it should not lie in the mouth of few individuals to claim that results from the facility have issues to the extent that all requests must be sent to private facilities (we can discuss the motive and intent of most of these referrals with documents when it becomes necessary).
The last thing I will do is to destroy a place I seek to lead before I get there.
Conclusion
If these cannot be use to deal with an impasse steming from 2012 even after uprisings ended up in the Parliament of Ghana, then I am convinced we are not just ready within the health sector to call a spade a spade..
