@arfa2706 Irrelevant. Other open worlds being bad does not make Elden Ring's open world automatically good. Also, when you swap a few rooms around, does that count as a "unique" dungeon in your book? There is no point to this, you are coping. Here, you can argue with an AI if you want.

@arfa2706 Blind fanboys like you truly are a plague. Nobody argues that Elden Ring is a very good game, but it should not be that hard to recognize that it has SOME weaknesses, the open world being the main one. Go back in the game and actually explore side dungeons for once.

@arfa2706 You probably have not explored the open world then., because there are obviously multiple instances of dungeons like caves and catacombs using 90% of the same layout, and also repeated bosses. I don't even get why you would deny that.

@MentatEmperor88 @SkySekaiWorld @RawanaMarijuana why? there’s a large black population that lives in australia. “soul king” and his afro would both point to aboriginals being the australians oda was talking about.

@BOlmsted17 @Daily_Tonic247 @mrwtffacts Ahhh yes, let’s just hide girls from the world, instead of dealing with the root of the problem (creepy, violent, obsessive men). Should we make them wear full body and face coverings too like Afghanistan while we’re at it?

In 2021, a Florida man shot dead the stalker of his 15-year-old daughter after the stalker forced entry by blasting off the front door of the family home with a shotgun. Rob Majury, father of Ava Majury, received no charges under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones Sure, I have nothing against the actor, but I still feel like the role doesn't fit. The community jokes will be way too on-the-nose, and I am 99.9% sure that they won't ever come up with a detailed Summer Isles backstory to explain the race swap. Agree to disagree though!

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones I just don't think it will be a good thing. Also, I find it actually quite racist to go out of your way to cast a black actor for a race swap of an evil trashy knight nicknamed "The Brown Shield", a thief and an abuser who enjoys hurting the innocent. But maybe that's just me.

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones Look, I am not even against coherent race swaps. Salladhor Saan and Xaro Xhoan Daxos are good examples, because they obviously can make sense in the lore. Again, Bennis clearly doesn't, and they will never explain it. They will just throw a black actor in and call it a day.

As far as I know, Bennis doesn't have any significant backstory, and nothing in the source material ties him to any particular race or heritage. Seems like a great character to use creatively if he's going to have a bigger part in the show than in the book. The Velaryons were different because they were clearly described (visually, ethnically, historically) in the books and then totally changed for the show, and their race swap actually didn't fit with the broader lore of who Valyrians are and their relationship to dragons and all that.

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones You are just creating your own theory, I don't see why anyone should accept it as canon though. Why would Sothoryi be the only "dehumanized" black people, and not for example Summer Islanders? I doesn't make any sense if it is about being racist against black people.

Sothoryos is in fact a fucking continent, and I still think it's more likely that the people there are not actually subhuman creatures. Are you denying the massive, obvious parallels to how Europeans viewed Africa and Africans in the Middle Ages? Is it just a coincidence that Naath is right by Sothoryos and populated by black people who are definitely human and capable of reproducing normally? I don't think it's proven one way or the other in the actual source material since it's all hearsay and speculation by maesters.

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones It still contradicts the worldbuilding, unless they come up with a crazy Summer Isles backstory for fucking Bennis. Spoiler: they won't and it will just end up as a plot hole like the Velaryons. If they really want to, why not use a race swap where it can actually make sense??

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones You talk a lot about Essos, but they still came from the Summer Isles (and from Naath, sure lmao), and you agreed that they are extremely rare in Westeros, so it is still irrelevant. Also, weren't you also condescendingly wrong about Sothoryos (the "FUCKING CONTINENT" lmao)?

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones You still didn't explain why a black robber knight of the Seven is roaming Westeros' countryside without ever raising questions about his origins, unlike real Summer Islanders in the books who systematically trigger curiosity or surprise from Westerosi characters in the books.

Yes because famously no one from Essos has ever gone to Westeros. Oh wait, literally everyone in Westeros except the Children of the Forest and Giants came to Westeros from Essos, you buffoon. The First Men, the Andals, the Rhoynar, the Valyrians, Ghiscari and Essosi mercenaries, Summer Islanders, Naathi.

You answered after I posted this, with the lamest shit ever about it being an "outlier" (whatever that even means), and claiming that it "doesn't change anything to the main point" when the main point of contention between you and me was you saying I didn't know the source material because I said black people don't ONLY come from the Summer Isles. The existence of Naath directly proves you wrong, so now you're trying to move the goalposts to some other "main point". Really weak and transparent, you can just admit you were wrong. You also still haven't addressed the fact that there are black people all over Essos too, even if they aren't the majority ethnic group.

@illegal_lemur @doctavaughn @Harauvatian @SydSteyerhart @GameOfThrones "Except Westeros", which completely annihilates your argument for a random black-skinned evil knight roaming Westeros' countryside without even raising some eyebrows. Thank your for finally agreeing, I feel like we have reached a point where we can all move on!

There are also tons black people throughout Essos, and maybe those all trace their ancestry back to the Summer Isles and Naath, but they are still firmly established populations in Essos. Even if they aren't the majority, there are dark-skinned people all over the place everywhere except Westeros proper.
