We are thankful for all of the Enforcers, exhibitors, and attendees that chose to spend their weekend with us here in Philadelphia at #PAXUnplugged 2025 playing games. Even though we’re all going our separate ways, the memories we made together will stay with us for a long time.

like. why wouldn’t she approve of you wanting to know more about her past. especially when it’s clearly important to her. especially knowing how homesick she is. it’s also the only moment where a companion does that, no? and it’s also. not new to dragon age? remember solas???

remember watching a review from someone i won’t name and they said “sometimes i’d talk to a companion and they’d approve of me just asking them questions??” and the companion in question is harding, approving of you asking her about her time with the inquisition. lol. lmfao even

@ilariodelamorte @HeroOfAntiva @Shroomberton I had them flirt some, but then there’s a whole thing with them at the Lighthouse where Neve comments that he’s genuinely smiling as Rook walks up, and how good Rook is for him. It was sooo sweet :)

@HeroOfAntiva @Shroomberton Literally just don’t take them together. Two playthroughs and I’ve not gotten them flirting once.

someday people will accept that this game is not bg3 and bioware won't change certain characters and dialogues cause u throw a tantrum at any little thing u don't like 👍

@zarahartist Oh, I did get some of that. My favorite was Neve gushing about how good Rook is for Lucanis. There were a few others too. Would have been nice to have more though.

If Dragon Age Veilguard ever adds a patch, the only thing I really want is to have them add banter between the companions about Rook and who they’re in a relationship with! No one’s even acknowledged it, I’m looking for crumbs here with none to be had.

@DreyG0 @NykaraNizri @frillycake I think that’s more of a cometary on the state of the world where deaths golf hundreds of people don’t matter at all, than the game being less grimdark. It isn’t that it didn’t go there, it’s that the bar for getting people to feel something about it is so much higher.

#veilguardspoilers One thing Dragon Age does well are the side quests that turn out to be the most horrible story ever

@BriannaWu Idk, but I have often found the fights I can’t win are the ones that need to be fought. I just hope in the long run it helps.

The biggest mistake I’ve ever made of my entire career was coming out publicly. It has made my life exponentially worse to have thousands of people a day pounding down my door, calling me a man, and demanding I defend every aspect of trans civil rights - which I cannot. This has never happened to my face once in 20 years. Now it is every time I turn on Twitter. The entire reason I did it was to try to steer the public policy ship to a more moderate stance. All this does is get me hate from trans extremists and bigots who want to eliminate/reduce trans people. It’s the most unrewarding thing I’ve ever done. Why do I tend to pick fights I can’t win?

Playing as a elf with a vallaslin I was taken back when Rook literally says they didn’t grow up dalish but got the vallaslin cause they honored the ancestors… I’m sorry what? 😅 I’m gonna ignore that and continue to believe they’re dalish

I’m totally fine with this. Sometimes this hits the spot. After 12hrs I’ll be delighted for any warm food I don’t have to make.

@andersmance I personally liked the cc because I could make decent looking characters without getting overwhelmed with “all the options!” However, the limitations of that was a huge point of contention about it when it first came out. So yea, a lot of people hated it.

wait as someone who's never used mods...do y'all actually think dai cc was bad? not talking about poor lighting or a few complaints like lack of hairstyles, but like actually bad without mods

Heartbroken and angry. Most of my adult life was spent at Game Informer. All day, I’ve been remembering amazing moments I had with the team - some of the most talented and kindhearted people I’ve ever met and was lucky enough to work with. End of an era, but GI forever!

It was a big part of my identity growing up that I was 25% Native American. It was always what my father told me: we were part Cherokee. I finally did a 23 and Me and nope. 100% White. It was startling

@Xarallei Oooh, yea that kind of discussions have been going on for years. Back when the forums existed there were whole threads of people discussing how horrible it is to romance Dorian as a Templar or Cullen as a mage. Like, how doing that meant you were sadistic basically.

And yes, the post is old but she retweeted it recently so I'm guessing that kind of discussion is going on in the DA fandom again. 😭

Omfg. It's going to be b/g3 fandom all over gain isn't it? Can we not? I don't want to have to block/mute all things related to DA because the fandom is insufferable like I ended up doing with that other game.
