The fact that no similar outrage, no mass protests, no organized pressure campaign, and no similar attempt at a total rewriting of the social contract is taking place for this, the most outrageous miscarriage of justice we’ve ever seen in a nation whose government has largely been defined by acts of Anarcho-Tyranny, should tell you about how far we still have to go. Politics is defined by intensity, and there is almost none on the Right. We will accept almost any abuse, so long as it’s legally defensible and the necessary actions to correct it lay outside the procedural order that exists for no other reason than to constrain us.

Dr Manivannan was entitled to stand for election on their visa and was duly elected. Nothing has been done wrongly. They would ordinarily be granted a graduate route visa now having completed their PhD. The racism and bigotry on display is a shame to Scotland.
