As part of St Patrick's Day, General Sir Roly Walker @ArmyCGS presented sprigs of shamrock to members of the 1st Battalion @RIrishRegiment ☘️ The officers and soldiers welcomed the Chief of the General Staff to the Lolldaiga Mountains Training Area in Kenya as he was briefed on the latest training 🇰🇪

Brilliant to see 7X on Salisbury Plain today as they conducted their warfighting validation exercise. The highlight: a lightning-fast section attack integrating FPVs, ISR and dropper drones, UGVs and, of course, the best soldiers in the world.

Visiting @16AirAssltBCT in Colchester this week, I witnessed the future of Airborne forces - tacticians and technicians working in lockstep to integrate transformative technology into air manoeuvre. The result: a more lethal force ready to reinforce NATO at a moment's notice.

An outstanding achievement by soldiers of @12regtra. Bdr Devine and her team rowed 3,000+ miles in 45 days, raising £10,000+ for the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund and Jessie May Hospice. A powerful example of the character, courage and commitment that set our people apart.

UK - Pakistan military cooperation is enduring. It was a pleasure to welcome Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff General Asim to Horse Guards Parade earlier today. We look forward to productive discussions at the UK-Pakistan Regional Stabilisation Conference this week.

Today we mourn the loss of a great man and excellent leader - General Sir Mike Jackson. A soldier’s soldier, he was respected and admired for his conscientious leadership, fierce intellect, and straight-talking approach. He will be sorely missed.

Yesterday I visited Operation INTERFLEX, the multi-national training mission supporting Ukraine. I was impressed with the quality of instruction and dedication of the trainees—their excellent work underpins our ironclad support for Ukraine.

Very honoured and humbled to jump into Ginkel Heath this morning, marking the 80th Anniversary of Operation MARKET GARDEN. A chance to pause and reflect on the high courage and selfless sacrifice of those from Allied Airborne Forces who fought and died for the freedom of us all.

It was a privilege to host @JohnHealey_MP and distinguished guests at the fantastic #ArmyExpo24 yesterday afternoon. The event showcased the inspirational people—soldiers, civil servants, and mission partners—who will carry the @BritishArmy on its journey of modernisation to double its fighting power in three years.

Huge congratulations to Army Reservist Modern Pentathlete 2Lt Kerenza Bryson for setting a new Olympic record in qualifying and finishing ninth overall! Your courage, discipline, and commitment have led to this incredible achievement. You’ve made us all proud! #ArmySport

I am deeply saddened by the horrific and unprovoked attack on an officer yesterday. Our Armed Forces make extraordinary sacrifices to defend our nation and deserve to be respected.   My thoughts and best wishes are with him and his family. They have the full support of the chain of command as they recover from this horrendous incident.

Today was General Sir Roly Walker’s first chance to meet his staff in Army Headquarters, Andover. He took the opportunity to thank them for all their work supporting the transition.

80 years since the Battle of Monte Cassino ended, a moving and memorable visit today to the Abbey at Monte Cassino, accompanying HRH the Duchess of Edinburgh. Together with @ArmyCGS we toured the Abbey and spoke to the Abbott before the Polish ceremony to mark the anniversary
