Je me suis entretenu avec le Président de l’État d’Israël @Isaac_Herzog. Je l’ai assuré de la pleine solidarité de la France avec le peuple israélien face aux attaques quotidiennes de l’Iran et du Hezbollah dont il est la cible. Ces attaques doivent cesser immédiatement. Au Moyen-Orient, j’ai marqué la nécessité absolue que les parties au conflit s’attachent à préserver les infrastructures civiles et énergétiques, qui font vivre des millions de personnes, et s’engagent sur la voie d’une reprise sincère du dialogue, dans l’intérêt de la paix et de la sécurité de tous. L’Iran doit également rétablir la liberté de navigation dans le détroit d’Ormuz. J’ai également souligné l’urgence de prévenir une nouvelle escalade du conflit au Liban, dont la stabilité et l’intégrité territoriale doivent être préservées. Le Hezbollah a commis une faute majeure en décidant d’attaquer Israël. Face à cette situation, la priorité de la France est la désescalade, le soutien aux efforts de l’exécutif libanais, qui a pris des décisions fortes et courageuses pour la souveraineté de l’État libanais, et la préservation des infrastructures et des populations civiles, qui sont les premières victimes de cette crise. J’ai aussi rappelé mes attentes s’agissant de la sécurité de la FINUL. J’ai dit au Président Herzog ma conviction que la reprise de discussions directes entre Israël et le Liban est une opportunité qui doit être saisie. La France se mobilise en ce sens.
