@matteocollina @mjackson @jarredsumner Yes, internally Next.js uses web streams. This was done for the purpose of running on the Edge Runtime. There was an effort to migrate to Node streams, but it stalled out.

@mjackson @jarredsumner @ArrowoodTech told me that there are 5 web streams created per Next.js page render. Those are *incredibly* slow.
