Lots of support again for @IslingtonLabour on the doorstep. Someone reminded me that child poverty was at a record low when the Tories came into power. We now have the highest child poverty out of the 39 relatively well-off countries. Use your vote to change this

A wonderful celebration for #UkraineIndependenceDay2022 organised by @IslingtonBC yesterday. This year it feels more important than ever and it was lovely to share the day with so many families now living in Islington

Enjoyed attending the Harvist Estate International Community Day to celebrate the diverse cultures of local residents. From food to face painting to songs and Sonic! We even got (temporary) sticker tattoos and got on some great bikes - who said Councillors can’t be cool?! 😉

I support @IslingtonBC Leader, @KayaJunction in calling on @thameswater to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Residents and businesses will see reported profits of around £488m last year, talk of a hosepipe ban, a drought and wonder what the summer and near-future holds for them.

Now the immediate response has occurred, urgent questions must be answered by @thameswater as I set out on @BBCLondonNews. They must prioritise infrastructure investment now - to avoid further leaks, bursts and mass disruption to residents and businesses. @BBCTomEdwards

🧵 Last week, a major water pipe burst, causing profound distress and damage to local residents & businesses in my area. I was on the ground shortly afterwards and saw the collective response efforts of partners inc. @LFBIslington, @LAS_HART and @IslingtonBC - credit to them! 👏🏽
