Bueno con la misma tranquilidad con que esperábamos las abundantes publicaciones de Semana al respecto hoy puedo decirles sobre la base de las informaciones que ustedes han recibido de la misma revista y otros medios que: Nadie del gabinete del gobierno ni directores ni comandantes de la fuerza pública, ni directores de aparatos de inteligencia han ordenado ni interceptaciones de teléfonos, ni allanamientos ilegales, ni se han aceptado chantajes sobre cargos públicos o contratos, ni se han recibido en la campaña dineros de personas ligadas al narco, ni mucho menos se ha manejado cifras como 15.000 millones por fuera de nuestra contabilidad. Yo no acepto chantajes, ni veo la política como un espacio de favores personales. Aquí estoy solo para lograr más justicia social en mi país. Es eso lo que me mueve y obsesiona. Si hay personas en otra lógica diferente en el gobierno es mejor que se separen de él. Creo entender que le pasa a la mente de Armando Benedetti, acepto sus disculpas, pero debe explicar sus palabras ante la fiscalía y el país.
