I am surprised & a bit disappointed w/ online sparring over methods of b-ball coach. CLA is getting a lot of press which IMO is great as it is an often understudied & misunderstood method. However, the amount of “who did it first?” and “that’s not really ‘CLA’” is disheartening

Telling your players that certain shots are unacceptable and then sitting those players for taking shots. Three man weave is a GREAT basketball drill.

CLA gets popular media recognition, some dig in to other methods more firmly, others espouse they’ve been doing it for years. Who cares? If it works for you and your learners, use it.

Purchasing shooting machines before shot clocks is criminal. I’ve never seen a demonstration that illustrated a need for a shooting machine in any way. I get it if one person wants to shoot by himself. Otherwise, make a friend. Grab a teammate. Work together.

@brianmccormick I’ve often thought that practices should co-inside with game times. In MN, most HS varsities would be roughly 6:30-8:30 pm.
