@theartofed Frida Khalo because I try to teach perseverance and grit which she is the epitome of and resonates with self reflection. I teach high school and knpw most students won't have art related careers but I want them to understand the benefits of art in terms of mental health.

Who is your favorite artist to share with students?

@adamlevine super old tweet that I just came across but still offends. You state 'art teacher' like it's a bad thing. You are disappointing. I tell my students anyone with the guts to create and put their art out there is an artist.
