I just now talked to a 18 year old boy who was never interested in Politics earlier, He wants to know the education qualifications of our Leaders, He wants to know what is GDP, what is impact of falling Rupee. Youth is discussing POLITICS! This is the Wave of Change.

@godbole_shilpa PMC's signage department, where typos are a delicacy served with every dish. Clearly, their proofreaders are out to sea. Kothrud's seafood joints: where the fish is fresh, but the editing isn't.

Outside Thane station, a passenger walks up to a shared auto. The driver calls out a locality name. Passengers climb in. The ride proceeds with barely a word exchanged. This is how Mumbai's auto ecosystem works. It runs on functional shorthand. Yet Maharashtra has set an Aug 15 deadline for drivers to learn Marathi or risk losing their permits. The govt said it was for commuters. So we went and asked them 👇 (1/10)

🚨 FASTag has a MASSIVE security loophole & nobody is talking about it. Today, literally anyone with access to your car & RC can get a NEW FASTag issued on your vehicle in THEIR name & mobile number. No OTP. No owner authorization. No consent from the actual vehicle owner. The moment that happens? Your existing FASTag gets blacklisted/deactivated instantly under the “One Vehicle One FASTag” policy. That’s exactly what happened to me. I’m currently transporting my car from Mumbai to Delhi & handed over the vehicle to the transporter’s driver on Saturday. He casually asked me if there was balance in the FASTag. Next morning, I received a message from ICICI saying a new FASTag had been activated on my vehicle & my existing FASTag would be deactivated. Within minutes, it was blacklisted/deactivated. Honestly, God knows what the plan even was. Maybe he thought the balance would transfer. Maybe he wanted to misuse it during transit. Maybe something worse. The scary part? The system ALLOWED this without a single authorization from the actual vehicle owner. The NETC FASTag portal was down the entire day. After 4+ hours of calls, ICICI finally told me the new FASTag was issued via Airtel Payments Bank. Later, I checked the Airtel Thanks app & guess what? The FASTag had been registered by the SAME driver who took the car. This is where things become ridiculous. Airtel Payments Bank support told me THEY cannot close the FASTag unless the person who activated it calls them personally. Read that again. The actual vehicle owner has ZERO control over the FASTag - but the person who fraudulently activated it does. The NHAI helpline at 1033 was equally useless. No emergency block. No fraud handling. No owner protection mechanism. So if someone activates a FASTag on your car, you’re basically stranded. How is this acceptable infrastructure for something linked to a vehicle owner’s identity & movement? This is no longer just a scam. It’s a massive security vulnerability in the FASTag ecosystem. NPCI/NETC urgently needs mandatory owner authorization. At the very least, mandate OTP verification from the registered vehicle owner before ANY FASTag change is approved. This needs immediate attention, @NPCI_NPCI @FASTag_NETC. Pathetic support, zero accountability, and absolutely no protection for the actual vehicle owner while someone else fraudulently took control of the FASTag. That should never be possible, @ICICIBank @airtelbank.

@sarcasm1974 @iamankitpande Get a battery & don't export excess to grid. Size it slightly under your avg daily solar generation (e.g. 8-9kWh if you make 10 units/day). This maximizes self-use, avoids poor net-metering rates, cuts bills & dependency.

Stop glorifying rental income as passive income. In today’s time, if you invest ₹80 lakhs into a flat in Mumbai and give that flat on rent, there is a high chance you will lose your mental peace. Same thing is happening with me right now. I have a flat in Mira Road which is on rent. Today the electricity office called me and said they may cut the meter because the tenant has not paid the electricity bill on time. The bill is around ₹7000. Then the tenant started arguing with me saying there is some problem in the meter and asking how the bill can be so high. I told him, you are using AC, induction, and multiple electric appliances daily, obviously the bill will come high. Then he again started saying, “We do not use that much electricity.” At one point, being a landlord starts feeling like a full time stress job instead of passive income. Sometimes I genuinely feel it is better to sell the flat and invest those ₹80 lakhs into SWP or index funds. At around 12 percent returns, you can take nearly ₹70k monthly for 30 years peacefully, and even after 30 years you may still have around ₹2.6 crore left, which is probably more than the future value of that flat itself. No tenant drama. No electricity arguments. No maintenance stress. No society headaches. People talk a lot about return on investment. Very few people talk about return on mental peace. Real estate owners, tell me honestly. Is rental income still worth the stress today?

My most difficult student was a self-proclaimed “influencer” who spent class bullying a quiet boy who happened to be my top student. She called him a nerd. Mocked his grades. And did everything she could to make the other boys laugh. He never said a word. All year. Then during a group project, I noticed he was doing all the work while she sat there scrolling through Snapchat. When I told her to help, she smirked and said: “He likes doing it. He’s just a nerd.” The class laughed. I looked at the quiet kid and saw his eyes filling with tears. So I said loud enough for everyone to hear: “Be careful. He might end up being your boss one day.” For the first time all year, the quiet kid spoke. Without missing a beat, he said: “No thanks. I don’t want to be a strip club manager when I grow up.” The room went completely silent. Then the entire class exploded with laughter. Haley burst into tears and ran out of the room. And for the first time all year, the quiet kid smiled.

In movie Bajirao Mastani this guy is portrayed as main villain (because he objected to his brother having an extra marital affair!) In real life he - Chimaji Appa defeated Portuguese and put an end to their ambitions. He took away church bells which he later donated to temples. Bollywood is a brothelwood indeed
