The immense damage to nature, farming and communities is real and happening fast.

What I remember is all the climate denying trolls in 2018-19 making fun of Greta, Fridays for Future, Extinction Rebellion and all of climate science for saying we had less than 10 years to massively reduce emissions or else.

Next week is the anniversary of Hiroshima. Today, the Prime Minister has announced more investment in weapons of mass destruction. The UK spends £12,000 every minute on nuclear weapons. Imagine if we spent that money on social care, schools and the NHS instead.

When millionaires leave Britain, they don't just leave with a suitcase. They take their capital, investments and businesses with them. That means fewer jobs, less investment and ultimately less tax revenue. We should be giving wealth creators more reasons to come here and stay here, not driving them away. A growing economy needs investment, not an exodus.

September and our first A Level Chemistry lesson was a lecture on why we shouldn't take drugs. There were about 40kg of apples piled up behind the teacher. She then guided us through making cider to learn about fermentation and how to measure alcohol. We all got leathered.
