There is absolutely a dream scenario where California’s top two ends up being Republicans Steve Hilton & Chad Bianco. What’s interesting is Gavin Newsom is already publicly floating a “break the glass” plan if Democrats get locked out of the governor’s race. The consensus among those I know, favoring you or @SteveHiltonx , is that we need to win. And we all agree that the only way for that to happen is if you pass the torch to Hilton. I'm pretty damned certain that you'll have a spot in his administration. And I would love that. It's not about you... We just can't afford to lose anymore...
