@imfat I mean, $19 and hr is $3040 a week at 40 hr, $4180 at 50, and $5320 at 60 hrs. Normal people work 50 hrs a week. Lazy people work 40 hrs a week. Those that are successful will clear 60 hrs a week, possibly 80. Are you lazy, normal, or striving for success?

How do I pay: $1,600 rent $250 electricity $100 water $280 internet $140 car insurance EVERY MONTH on under $19/hr???

@BottyBotsworth @oshillex And that is the problem. I play multiple games with mods etc. and use my machine for other stuff as well. Got 3-4TB of storage and it's almost full. Shit's ridiculous

@oshillex Multiple reasons. Download speeds of most places games are sold. 1tb+ storage not being that uncommon. How a very large portion of players only playing a game or two (ie FIFA, cod, whatever). I also miss the days of compression and optimization but companies are cheap and lazy

@VfromG @AlexEdgerton Spießig is exactly what made the brand so successful. No one ever bought a VW because of their great design, it was bought for the spiessig values like reliability, trust, etc.

The best thing about this car is that VW didn’t go out of their way to make it look weird, just because it’s an EV. It looks normal. It’s recognizable, and follows their brand identity. Props to VW. Other OEMs please take note. Just because it’s electric, doesn’t mean you should throw away the rulebook on style. You’ve worked hard for decades to establish a design language your fans identify with. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot with square wheels and wonky body lines, simply because there’s no exhaust pipe.

@FeartheBeardy @AlexEdgerton "if priced aggressively" They "worked hard" to establish themselves as a premium brand (at least they think and hope that). They lean too hard on the "people will buy it because it's a VW" mentality which is true here in Germany but even that might be on the decline

@AlexEdgerton VW not consciously leaning into their back catalogue with more retro designs is bizarre. They tried with the Buzz then priced it far too high. A classic Golf design or Beetle with an EV power train, if priced aggressively, would give them a unique position!

@BrnngMarxFstvl @aktien_max In dem Fall ja. Bei den Kurzstrecken, die die Diesel (!) teils fahren bekomm ich ein wenig Schauern über den Rücken.. Da könnte ein E-Fahrzeug wirklich eine bessere Alternative sein. Immer noch das Drehmoment da aber braucht nicht so lange um (wirklich) warm zu werden

@exilplanitzer @stepsenmccool 160 war komfortable Reisegeschwindigkeit bei meinem letzten (ungelogen, der kleine Civic und ich haben sich pudelwohl gefühlt), absolute Entspannung. Trotzdem wäre es mMn. bei einer so ausgebauten Straße verdammt schade, so ein Tempolimit einzuführen.

@stepsenmccool Ich glaube, mit Limit 160 könnten die Meisten gut leben. Man bremst die kaputten Idioten aus, kommt aber trotzdem bei Bedarf zügig ans Ziel. Ich fahre trotzdem Tempomat 125 (und mit Strom), auch wenn der Kasten viel schneller könnte. Im Alter wird man weiser…

414 km/h auf einer öffentlichen Straße. Irre. Da fängt man ja selbst als Gegner eines Tempolimits an zu grübeln, ob das wirklich erlaubt sein sollte.

@stepsenmccool Übrigens ist das auch gewissermaßen ein Beweis dafür, dass die Autobahn (zumindest der Abschnitt 😂) gut genug verarbeitet ist um so etwas zu unternehmen (die durchschnittliche Landstraße würde sowas wohl nicht hergeben)

@stepsenmccool Hach ja, schon wieder hintergrundlos das Video am rauskramen 🤦🏻‍♂️ Mehrere Spotter, bei weitem nicht sein erstes Mal bei solcher Geschwindigkeit. Die Zeit war extra ausgewählt worden, weil auf dem Abschnitt generell am wenigsten Verkehr war. Die Fahrt war schon eine Weile geplant.
