Ireland lose → blame Leinster → blame Jacques Nienaber. That cycle says more about how Irish rugby is structured than how Nienaber coaches. The national team is treated like an extension of one province, so every defeat turns into a provincial argument and the other Irish teams barely feature in the conversation. You don’t see Springbok fans blaming Dobson, Jake White, Plumtree or Ackermann when South Africa lose, and England or Scotland supporters don’t pin international defeats on club rugby either. Until Ireland separates club from country in the analysis, the wrong people will keep getting blamed.
