On this National Librarian Day I applaud all librarians across the country. Your work is invaluable to your community and the nation. Today, a librarian’s role is constantly evolving to adapt to social needs and a new digital landscape. We can’t thank you enough.

My mom was a piano teacher and I know that music is an important part of a well-rounded education. During these challenging times, arts education can help students cope, begin to heal, and awaken minds in ways that will benefit students for years to come.
