I have a mercedes and it is smart hybrid. Mileage hovers around 7-8, and on highways it increases as smart hybrid triggers battery or eco run. Not sure if he means highway mileage dropped to 5 and his car also has smart hybrid variance. Nonetheless ethanol debate is different and i have no view yet.

But contractors pay netas their cut money & encroachers who cause traffic jams are vote banks of netas. We are told ethanol is “good for the environment” but to produce 1 litre of ethanol it takes 2500-3500 litres of water at sugar mills or above 10,000 litres per litre at rice mills! This when the country is facing water shortage. How is this good for anyone except the netas? Most ethanol distilleries are owned by netas, for example Nitin Gadkari ji’s son! And please tell me how is Gadkari ji announcing ethanol policy when he is neither the Petroleum Minister, nor Agriculture Minister, nor Industry Minister? We the people pay full price for our vehicles + road tax + insurance + tolls + GST on spares… and in return we get pathetic roads, terrible infrastructure & now forced ethanol-blended fuel that kills mileage & damages engines. Meanwhile netas with direct conflict of interest are minting crores & crores and the poor hardworking honest INDIAN suffers as most Indian vehicles aren’t even E20 compatible yet Nitin Gadkari ji is forcing these ethanol norms on us as if we are lab rats! #EthanolScam. #EthanolScam #GadkariEthanol #MiddleClassLoot

Honourable @PMOIndia and @FinMinIndia We are losing Foreign Capital of almost $1 Bn a day. Since July 2024, post hike in capital gain tax and STT, we have lost $100 Bn and our markets have become globally unattractive .we need patient risk capital to fund our growth story. It’s undoing the good work done through various reforms. A responsive govt like yours has always taken feedback on taxation - GST, Income tax and given relief. I urge you to reconsider.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. Tariff update -trump used sec 122 to charge 10% tariffs on all countries after Supreme Court struck down IEEPA. So for now Indian tariffs are 10% 2. trade deals to remain in place..So India eventually will get to 18% via other sections like 232, 301 etc For now it’s a temporary relief as we are at 25% currently & will pay 10%

Today, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft landed at Toronto International Airport in Canada. The plane was scheduled to return to Islamabad after a two hour stopover. However, unfortunately, the entire crew of the aircraft, including the pilots, surrendered themselves to the authorities and applied for asylum. As a result, new pilots have been called in for the aircraft, and from now on, Pakistani planes will no longer operate direct flights in Canada.
