Probing empirical questions related to media issues would require, efforts both from relevant government departments (including information departments) as well as from private channels/media houses to open doors to researchers and improve data-sharing mechanisms. 7/n

Over all this descriptive analysis raises interesting questions about the arbitrariness of media regulation conducted by a seemingly autonomous body under different political regimes. There is very little empirical evidence questions related to media in Pakistan. 6/n
