The main theme of the report is what CoinGecko calls the convergence of on-chain finance. Instead of separating trading, stablecoins, RWAs, institutional access, and developer infrastructure across different chains, Injective is bringing them together on one finance-focused Layer 1 where they can all share the same liquidity and infrastructure. ✔️ The numbers are impressive actually. - Since January 2025, Injective has processed over $34.4B in derivatives volume and $888M in spot volume, with around $6.8B coming from real-world asset markets like stocks, commodities, forex, and indices. - And unlike many chains, Injective also has a protocol-level onchain orderbook, meaning that projects don’t need to build trading infrastructure from scratch, they can tap into the same liquidity and trading engine. ✔️ Another highlight is native USDC. - Since May 2026, USDC has been issued natively on Injective through Circle’s CCTP, making it Circle’s first MultiVM deployment. That means the same USDC works seamlessly across both EVM and WASM, creating a much smoother experience for users and developers. - The report also notes that Cosmos Hub has adopted it as its reference USDC, making its ecosystem rollout one of the biggest things to watch for the rest of 2026. coingecko.com/learn/injectiv… ✔️ And on the institutional side, $INJ now has U.S.-regulated futures trading on Bitnomial, with three ETF filings already submitted.
