I am now convinced that talks will fail with Iran after Khamenei Jr. latest statements.
The only thing that can stop an attack on Iran now is a miracle.

Mojtaba Khamenei: “Death to America” will remain a permanent slogan of the Islamic Republic. (Talks going great)

@RepLuna There were talks before the talk, and Iran was giving up more than what they are currently offering, so what was the point of the war?

@skyvector7 Then from now on they own Hormouz, right? They never tried this and just made threats, now they know they can make it work. So basically this war made them stronger for the long run, no?

@AshChoubineh It takes one single rocket to close the strait. You don’t need a navy. Just threaten that you will shoot and oil tanker and nobody will pass out of fear.

Thank you, President Trump, for working so hard to make the world a better, safer place

I think this weekend sell off is a bit over exaggerated
Trump knows exactly what he is doing. The stock market is closed for 3 days. He has an extra day to put “ pressure “ on the Middle East during the holiday weekend
I suspect when the markets open back up by Tuesday he will come back on his words and extend the deadline again. He is playing chess
Good area to bid the strong alts if we are going to see them run higher from here

The NYT article reveals that our military is telling President Trump what has been obvious from the onset of this war: there is no quick military solution in Iran and our early actions set the conditions for the stalemate we are in now.
Trump’s best option is to declare victory and walk away now. Limit our exposure in the region, reduce the risk of Iran restarting the war on their terms, and reset negotiations with sanctions relief as both carrot and stick.
The Iranians have adapted to our attacks. They can “win” simply by not losing. Future strikes will be less effective, cost us more in casualties, and further harden Iranian resolve.
Killing the Supreme Leader rallied the Iranian people around the regime. By also eliminating many moderate leaders, we’ve left ourselves with mostly hardliners to negotiate with, who are unlikely to give Trump the concessions he’s demanding.
Two lessons we should have learned in the GWOT:
1. If you stay within reach of the enemy, they will adapt and ultimately win the long war by grinding us down. Iran is doing this on a massive scale with ballistic missiles, air defenses, and drones—the same concept as IEDs, just more advanced.
2. Attacking a nation will rally the people around the regime we’re trying to overthrow, or around forces far worse.
Regime change is a fool’s errand.

@Raiyvenhawk79 @kelseynicole780 @BarakRavid Wasn’t it supposed to be full surrender? As of today, It doesn’t appear that way
English

@kelseynicole780 @AshChoubineh @BarakRavid You do realize giving a country a chance for diplomacy to work is better for all countries

🚨Behind the scenes: Trump spoke on the phone with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE in the 24 hours before his announcement, two sources with knowledge said
🚨One U.S. official said there'd been "a unified message from Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. It was along the lines of 'give negotiations a chance because if you hit Iran, we will all pay the price for it.''"
🚨A second source with knowledge said Trump told some of his hawkish political allies the three Arab leaders told him "they don't want their oil and energy facilities blown up" due to Iranian retaliation

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷President Trump said Monday that he'd planned to strike Iran "tomorrow" but was holding off to give negotiations another chance. He claimed he made the decision at the request of several Arab leaders. My report on @axios axios.com/2026/05/18/tru…

@Osint613 Didn’t we bomb those facilities and they were wiped out?
English

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC):
"The idea that Iran would not completely destroy all their enrichment facilities as part of a negotiated solution makes no sense. The moratorium - without complete dismantlement of the enrichment facilities and capabilities - truly becomes the JCPOA.
I am certain that Iran’s refusal to destroy their enrichment capability will be soundly rejected."

70% of the players feel less engaged with FPL than normal… 😮
Wonder if that’s just quality of football being less enjoyable, Les predicable FPL, changes to the game or something else?
FPL Raptor (Ross)@FPL__Raptor
I am struggling to think of a time across the past 3-4 years where the majority seem as disengaged with FPL as they do right now… Where is your head at right now with FPL, in comparison to how engaged you usually feel?
