@be_nMD When I had a PE 14 days post C-section I had sudden onset central chest pain, sweaty and vomiting. All my vitals were normal but D-dimer high. Doc took 14 hours to look for a PE because I didn’t present ‘normally’

Diagnosed 3 PEs in the last 2 shifts. Two were central and submassive. 2 had normal vitals. They all described the same feeling however, nearly verbatim: “I feel breathless when I walk, and it’s getting worse.” Dyspnea on exertion with no clear cause should prompt a PE w/u
