I’m sorry but why would you sue Air Canada instead of the NTSB? There’s audio, clear as day, that does not have to be subpoenaed, that proves it was the air traffic controller’s fault.

I don’t agree with a lot of the stances this man holds, but that being said he is doing exactly as his constituents elected him for and that is (sadly) commendable in this day and age. Globally we need more of this.

One city councillor even suggested that a family could save up to $10,000 a year on groceries. That implies roughly a 60% reduction in annual food costs—an assumption that is, frankly, detached from economic reality. Public retailing of food is costly, operationally complex, and rarely competitive. The result? Likely millions in added costs for Torontonians, with little evidence it will improve affordability in any meaningful or sustainable way.

An official from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said the minimum age for participation in war-related support roles has been lowered to 12, according to remarks aired on state media. Rahim Nadali, a cultural official with the Guards in Tehran, said an initiative called “For Iran” was recruiting participants to assist with activities such as patrols, checkpoints and logistics. “Given that the age of those coming forward has dropped and they are asking to take part, we lowered the minimum age to 12,” he said, adding that 12- and 13-year-olds could now take part if they wished. The comments were broadcast as part of state coverage of the war effort. You’d sue the FAA, the NTSB only investigates after the fact and has no regulatory authority. In other words, they can and do make recommendations after accidents to the FAA, airlines and others but they have no way to enforce those recommendations, that’s up to the FAA. The FAA also owns ATC who does the ground control at these airports.
