It isn't "weird" when you realize the US funds and supplies almost every bomb being dropped in Lebanon. You cannot have a regional ceasefire with Iran without including Hezbollah. Pakistan negotiated directly with the US because everyone knows Israel doesn't fight this war without American money, weapons, and approval ( or vise versa lol ).
