❤️ Love is in the air @OrchardMead! The Prefects have been super busy this week selling roses and are all set for the anonymous deliveries tomorrow. They’ll be selling more roses at lunchtime so it’s not too late to declare your love for your special someone or your besties! 💕

Who am I to say no to Y7s decorating my classroom on Friday?… The joy it will bring Monday morning is just what we need during these bleary November days… I will not apologise for my intolerable festive behaviour in the coming weeks. “Fa la la la la la la la la” 🎄❄️🎁🎅🏼🔔

Day 4 of @OrchardMead Rewards week which means it’s trip day! What a fantastic day we’ve had at Rutland Water today- adventure playground, Normanton Church walks, mini golf and a lovely game of rounders! The sun may not have been shining but at least our ice-creams didn’t melt!

Day 3 of @OrchardMead Rewards week and today was all about the inflatables on the field! The Bungee run proved to be popular and students really enjoyed challenging the staff!

Day 2 of @OrchardMead Rewards Week and we had an epic Mariokart tournament, an afternoon of golfing AND a Nerf Gun war! Well Done to the students who earned their status and signed up to their rewards! Hope you’re having the best week!

Tell me it’s Rewards week at @OrchardMead without telling me it’s Rewards week… What a fantastic 1st day! Starting with a McDonald’s breakfast followed by a Film session watching Disney’s Elemental. We then had a Blooket tournament before ending the day with a Salon experience!

Finally finished interviewing all 31 prefect candidates! The calibre this year has been exceptional… Each and every one of our interviewees have done @OrchardMead proud, well done! Huge thanks to @bennewmark @GeeKader, Ms Rimmington and all the prefects who formed our panel!

Conquered a real fear today and delivered a whole staff briefing on Rewards. I honestly feel like I can achieve anything now! Except open a bottle of Tixylix… why can’t I open childproof things? Don’t even get me started on the washing tablet boxes… 😑

This is heartbreaking.

Deeply ashamed to live in a country where baby formula and basic household goods are encased in anti-theft packaging. When are we going to address the reason parents are having to steal baby milk and support them instead of criminalising them.

Thoughts please? Finding it incredibly unfair that in a matter of weeks I’m returning back to work (FT) when my baby is only 4 months old purely due to finances. She’s breastfed and still seems so tiny but the government believes that £172.48 a week is enough for a working mum…
