I always thought there could be more to Freki and Geri, and Huginn and Muninn. (Thread) Wolves and ravens have a very unique relationship in nature. Wolves will follow ravens to food, and ravens will alert the wolves to danger while they eat.

Epona, the one with a horse. Hermes, possibly the very rock pile that shows up in one of his myths, in other words a cairn. Demeter, earth mother. Gē or Gaia, earth. Vertumnus, the one who turns. Some have names of obscure origin or refer to where or why they were worshiped.

Buddhism is an atheistic religion in a purely philosophical sense, what's so controversial about it ? What should be discouraged and fought against is it being labelled not a religion.

I recently discovered that in the Sanatana-dharma, traditionally only men of the three upper castes can read and be initiated in the study of the vedas. So the vedic way is very much restricted for women. But in the tantric way, women are free to study and practice the tantras, as long as they have received the initiation from a guru. I believe that there isn't any restrictions for the lower caste as long as they have received the initiation. Regarding the outcasts I don't know how it works. So tantra traditionally, from the Sanatana-dharma and Buddha-dharma point of views, fits very well women.
