This week in ladybirds we have discussed facts about Scotland, linking to St Andrews Day!we sat as a class and looked at fact cards that told us interesting things about Scotland. We looked at bagpipes, kilts, Ben Nevis and the Scottish flag! We then painted our own flag 😀

Bumblebees are curious investigators today, exploring the idea of light and dark! We used torches to shine light onto different surfaces and observe the effects. This sparked inquisitive questions and discussions and led to Bumblebees tracing around the shadows! @NDNAtalk #EYFS

Our Bumblebees are all dressed up as people who help us in our community for #ChildrenInNeed :) .

Hedgehogs are supporting #ChildrenInNeed2022. We have come dressed as people who help us and have done lots of fun filled Pudsey crafts. @ashbridgeschool

Hedgehogs planted Daffodil bulbs this morning. We are going to take our bulbs home and nurture them till they are ready to bloom in the spring. 🌿 @LandStudies1

Hedgehogs experienced a 360° rainy day painting extravaganza from the comfort of the atelier. With the blissfull sound of rain falling down and droplet projections on the ceiling a magical ambience was created. @AshbridgeAteli1

Hedgehogs took part in a pumkpin hunt, we searched high and low to find all of the hidden pumpkins. This afternoon we drew round our arms and hands to make tree trunks and then used corks and seasonal coloured paint to add autumn leaves to our trees. @ashbridgeschool

Hedgehogs created their own beaded pumpkins. They showed great concentration and perciverience as they worked towards developing their hand eye coordination and fine motor skills by threading beads onto pipe cleaners and twisting to create a stalk #Autumnart @ashbridgeschool 🎃🦔

In Ladybirds we have been discussing pumpkins linking to Autumn, Halloween and pumpkin picking. Some of the ladybirds have enjoyed going pumpkin picking over the weekends and so we decided to make our own using orange paint and sponges. #pumpkin #Autumn @ashbridgeschool

Happy Halloween from the Squirrels! Today we carved our pumpkin using different tools and then took some pumpkin to feed the chickens

With Haloween approaching, hedgehogs helped to prepare the class pumpkin. We used different tools to scoop the seeds out and used our senses to explore the texture and scent of the pumpkin. 🎃 @ashbridgeschool

Also in Ladybirds we have been creating our own Diva Lamps for Diwalj and discussing that light triumphs over dark and good triumphs over evil as we read the story of Rama and Sita #Diwali @Ashbridge2to3 @ashbridgeschool

On the topic of Diwali the Ladybirds have been looking at Henna designs on our flashcards and then created their own Henna Hand with white paint in a food bag. This activity allowed the children to squeeze the paint and create marks in a different way. #diwali @Ashbridge2to3
