We've been planting onion bulbs and exploring the different trees and plants growing in our garden this morning in Owls.@OwlsAshbridge @LandStudies1 @RHSSchools

Year 4 completed their herb garden this week. First of all we cleared the raised bed and then discussed with our head chef what herbs would be useful for cooking with.We also considered height and spread of each herb when planting🌿 @mrs_livesey @RHSSchools #herbs

Hedgehogs planted Daffodil bulbs this morning. We are going to take our bulbs home and nurture them till they are ready to bloom in the spring. 🌿 @LandStudies1

In the garden this week years 1 & 2 removed all the unwanted plant material from one of our raised beds. We learnt that getting the roots out is very important! What an amazing end result @cuerdengarden @ashbridgeyear2 @RHSSchools #gardening

The Upper Juniors have been carefully planting Garlic and Onions this week. We made pathways within the raised bed to help with planting and weeding and then planted out taking into consideration the spacing needed between each plant @bolton_deborah @RHSSchools

Owls have been busy today learning about spider plants, how to cut a baby plant from the parent plant and pot it up. In two weeks Owls will be able to take their own plant home.#gardening #spiderplants @LandStudies1

In Gardening this week, Year 2 have been potting up their raddishes to encourage them to grow @LandStudies1

The children from years 1 & 2 worked incredibly hard this week to remove the clippings from our wildflower meadow. We learnt that this is part of the meadows maintenance program to allow the more desirable species to flourish next year. @cuerdengarden @ashbridgeyear2 @RHSSchools

Reception class have been planting up our large containers with Autumn colour this week for everyone to enjoy as they pass the clock house 🧡🍂 @MissSeaton @RHSSchools #Autumn

Last week Land Based Studies had a collaboration day in the forest.Reception class planted acorns to grow their very own Oak tree and made trees pictures from seeds we collected from the garden 🌳 @MissSeaton @AshbridgeAteli1 @AshbridgeOutdo1 @RHSSchools

Badgers went to the garden this morning and picked our own fruit to make smoothies. We picked cranberrys, raspberries and blackberries, washed them then made a delicious smoothie with them @LandStudies1 @ashbridgeschool #smoothies

This week year 3 worked through the Rhubarb beds weeding and removing debris. We learnt that we don't harvest at this time of the year so that the Rhubarb can build up energy stores to make it through winter and allow it to produce well next year. @RHSSchools @BodenMr
