Almost two months later. For anyone who actually played Crimson Desert all the way through, what’s your honest take now on the story, pacing, and the overall experience?
@ArdentVision1 Really happy to hear you’re enjoying it that much. Once I get through a few of the upcoming games, I’m going back to Crimson Desert to finish it too. :P
@AshenOne_VI still going, approaching 200 hours will prob wrap up the story this weekend.
For me its been a fucking amazing game, its a slow burn with many small faults but the positive far outweighs the negative.
The story is just there. But the adventure? its everywhere!
@lastchalice Interesting perspective. I haven’t finished it yet so I can’t judge the full experience, but I’m around Chapter 8 and I do plan to go back and finish it at some point. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
@AshenOne_VI Poor story, poorly paced, a slightly above average overall experience.
The 10/10 graphics, exploration, great voice work & fun combat don’t make up for what is a 100+ hour inconsistent slog.
I got a lot of joy out of it, but even more frustration. Very happy for their success.
Stellar Blade was my most played game in 2024 and one of my most played games ever. I met a lot of people here because of it.
I bought the game on PC not long ago to support the devs and to eventually replay it with mods. I can’t hide my excitement for the sequel. 😍
Hearing Würzburg come up as a rumored setting for Assassin’s Creed Hexe is pretty crazy, it’s only two hours from where I live 😅
And for anyone who forgot: Hexe is Ubisoft’s darker, witch‑trial‑era AC project set in 16th‑century Central Europe.
If the rumor ends up being true, I might visit Würzburg and take some photos 📸 :P
With Sydney Sweeney’s giant scene from Euphoria blowing up everywhere, the giantess theme is huge right now. If the devs behind Giantess Playground don’t take advantage of this momentum, it would be a massive missed opportunity 😅😂
@cavin_41 I hope Hexe ends up being a completely different story, but we will see. I also did not like Shadows. It started fine, but the longer I played, the worse it got. The graphics were really good though.
