But this is a perfect example of something that looks right on the surface but doesn’t hold up when you think about how real brands actually work. Real brands don’t just post designs because they look nice. Everything is tied to a system. Their visuals, typography, messaging, even how the logo sits all follow strict guidelines. Campaigns like “Refresh your magic” aren’t just thrown into any design, they are used intentionally and consistently across different markets This kind of design feels like a mix of different cocacola styles rather than something coming from a structured campaign. And beyond that, there are things like product accuracy, retouching standards, and legal approvals that brands take seriously before anything goes live. AI can replicate the look, but it doesn’t understand the thinking behind the brand. It doesn’t know the rules, the strategy, or the level of scrutiny these designs go through. So yes, use AI, let it make your work faster. But you still need a designer who understands brand systems to turn something like this into work that a company like cocacola would actually approve and publish. That’s exactly why I position myself as a strategic brand designer. I don’t just design for aesthetics, I think in systems, strategy, and real world application. AI won’t replace that, but it will definitely assist me in doing it better and faster.
