I don't know how I feel about this...
People say he’s the third choice but even if that’s true, does it make sense to spend money on a backup before you even know what your first options will cost?
You need two quality midfielders, right? You’ll be negotiating big fees and knowing how clubs price United, you’re probably looking at £70–100m each.
So is it really smart to commit part of your budget to a backup before any of that is even sorted?

@StevenDonovan02 Its bad coaching not player quality. There kids are better coached than ours. They dominated us because they know how to keep the ball and move it. We on the other hand depend on individual brilliance. Fletcher isnt a good coach, honestly...he is another vibes manager

City just got too much talent all over the pitch and too physical for United in the end. Probably quite predictable in the way they’d take over as the game went on
United need to start investing more and not relying on 3-4 great players to carry them at youth level

Watched a lot of Elliot Anderson recently and he’s not worth anywhere near £100m. Decent player and would improve #MUFC’s midfield, but for the reported fee, I’d stay well clear.

🚨Don’t let the overall team performance distract you from how good Patrick Dorgu was yesterday.
He was genuinely fantastic when he came on and looked really dangerous playing as a left winger. Gave us proper width, drove forward with confidence and created some really good chances too.
The more games go by, the more it feels like he’s naturally more of a left winger than a left back. You can really see it in the way he attacks space and impacts the game going forward.
