Not all intentions and designs are good…

There’s a lot of skill and care that is built up when working with such sensitive and vulnerable audiences that comes in handy elsewhere. We tend not to value and celebrate these types of skills, and the experiences that develop them, as much as we should in workplaces.

Obviously our team isn’t made up of babies and children, don’t intentionally get me wrong (Twitter!).

Years babysitting helped prepare me for parts of co-running a company. Examples: - Patience - Anticipating + removing risks all the time w/o presenting like it - Gently explaining things, lots - Encouraging communication - Building essential skills via demo + supported practice

There's so much to fix about our healthcare systems in the US, and it feels good to be a part of the change. Kudos to all involved in these efforts, from across sectors. It takes collective effort and there's much work still to be done.

At @coformaco, we're proud to have helped the work to crack down on junk insurance health insurance plans, prevent surprise medical billing, protect individuals and families from unfair medical debt, and educate the public on their new rights and protections.

Just another normal week in our timeline when an article in Nature states unequivocally that SARS-CoV-2 can invade the neural system to interfere with human memory, and everyone shrugs and says yeah whatever.

J.Sotomayor in #dissent in today's affirmative action decisions from #SCOTUS: "The Court subverts the constitutional guarantee of equal protection by further entrenching racial inequality in education, the very foundation of our democratic government and pluralistic society."

If SCOTUS was serious about their ludicrous “colorblindness” claims, they would have abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged. 70% of Harvard’s legacy applicants are white. SCOTUS didn’t touch that - which would have impacted them and their patrons.
