@mask_bastard “Most moving pictures are pretty simple, they’re black and white, you have to read the text because theres no sound, charlie chaplin does a little visual humour and you pay a nickle at the booth to watch the next show, the last of us show changed all that”

@historyinmemes Unmentioned funny fact, the wearers use to tie the tips of the shoes to their legs so they wouldnt get in the way while they walked. It was peacocking style to wear

During the 14th century, Europe experienced a significant trend known as the "shoe craze," where there was a widespread demand for poulaines. Poulaines were pointed-toe shoes that could stretch up to an impressive 2 feet in length. Due to their impracticality for laborious work, these shoes were a luxury reserved for the wealthy elite. Interestingly, in medieval times, poulaines were considered highly alluring and associated with sex appeal for men. The fashion of that era involved shorter tunics, and young men would proudly showcase their legs, accentuated and elongated by these low-cut shoes with their long, pointed tips. However, the popularity of poulaines eventually led to a series of unfortunate consequences. The association with sodomy emerged, leading to disapproval from several European monarchs, who eventually banned them entirely. Despite these actions, the damage had already been done. The poulaines era triggered a significant increase in bunion cases across Europe, with the number of cases more than quadrupling within a short period. Recently, archaeologists have made intriguing discoveries, unearthing skeletons from that era that provide evidence of the severe bunion epidemic caused by the fashion trend of wearing poulaines. These skeletal remains paint a vivid picture of the extent of the bunion-related issues that afflicted individuals during that time.

@DegenFurry64 @CristhianRgt @LocalBateman Well eating implies consumption, like he needs the souls. Just taking them and no futher explanation implies his goals are beyond human perception which makes him seem much more powerful. Kinda like a god who may or may not be messing with mortals for a laugh

@DegenFurry64 @LocalBateman A lot of people saying he’s the devil but i never got that impression. He’s more like a genie, or some other mysterious source of magic. His gift giving abilties are similar to monkey paw wishes

A Colorado supermarket employee was fired after he recorded three men stealing approximately $500 worth of laundry detergent from the store on Father’s Day. When the man returned to the store for his next shift, he learned he had been suspended, and a week later was fired.

@mikeben85733413 @DailyLoud They dont want to get sued when company heroes get hurt for trying to stop the theft. They have insurance and they likely have cameras filming. Also furthermore they account for loses in their prices

@DailyLoud That supermarket company must be making so much money that they are willing to allow theft/crime to happen that they punish their employees for standing up for the law because it might be harmful to “marketing.” Shame on them and good for that guy.

@CoolestKid_3 @DailyLoud More likely the exact opposite, the company could be sued if he was injured by the theives during his attempt to interfere. He should have called the police and reported it to his manager and continued with his duties.

@DailyLoud One of the problems of in a contemporary world is incomplete information/journalism. I believe he was fired for failing to take immediate action against the the three men instead of recording. And this should be included in your tweet.
