Today we had our annual 5th grade viewing of Home Alone. Watching my student (who is an Afghan refugee) enjoy it for the first time gave me more Christmas joy than anything. Teaching him has been one of THE MOST rewarding things I have experienced in my 18 year career! 🥰💜

My class and I were super excited to watch @CNN10 today, but super sad that @CarlAzuzCNN wasn’t hosting! Carl where are you???

During the last two years of teaching and being masked, I barely even got a slight cold. This year, no masks and I’ve got an upper respiratory infection after 8 days of school. 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

The state of my house makes it very evident that this was the first full week of school. 🤪

Can we go back to Covid symptoms pretty much being fever and loss of taste/smell? Three of my family members (two of which have already had it) tested positive with no more than a runny nose for symptoms. You know because a runny nose couldn’t be any other sort of ailment. 🙄

The difference in the decibel level of our house when my husband is at home playing with Caroline vs when it’s just her and I is something… 🤪🥴
