Cleared of murder?? That raises serious questions. Justice is supposed to be rooted in law, not emotion. Rape is a horrific crime, but murder is also a crime, the legal system shouldn’t start excusing one because of the other. If we blur that line and cheer such judgements. where do we draw the line?

Today, I filed an amendment to HJR 126 that would have allowed the people of #Texas to vote on the legalization of #Cannabis. This would boost our economy, be a huge benefit for our farmers and would allow those who need it, like veterans, the opportunity to have it legally. @DanPatrick killed the amendment and has made it very clear that Texans shouldn’t have a say over cannabis. #txlege
