@gturner6ppc @atensnut Britain? I piss in their tea. We're talking about America. Since before the Civil War, production has (mostly) come from the south and industry (mostly) from the north. Who makes more money? The farmer or the merchant? Hint: The answer is not "the farmer".

@gturner6ppc @atensnut So today the south is known for its extreme wealth? No, not so much. My point is: Neither democrats nor republicans are good. *sigh* You didn't even read half my rant before responding. Your so focused on being right, you refuse to listen to reason.

@Ashungar @atensnut Um, the rural areas were much poorer when Democrats controlled them, which is the South generally ended in the Obama years. West Virginia was a Democrat fortress until Obama and Hillary showed up.

@SchmukQatarlson @AfFrontiersman Although I suspect this was written by an officer, it is a mostly true statement. "Trust your battle. Get the job done. The guys upstairs are alone, divided, and confused, (as per the norm) but like Marines, we will adapt and overcome."

@AfFrontiersman Disagree: battlefields are where camaraderie can be at its utmost. Unless you're in charge, that is, because then it's lonely.

Did you know that Xi Jinping’s daughter studied at Harvard back in 2014? Xi Mingze went to Ivy League under a fake name, graduated, and then completely ghosted the public eye. Today, her whereabouts are a total state secret, some reports say she’s living a ghost life in Beijing under heavy military guard, while U.S. politicians claim she quietly moved back to Massachusetts for graduate research. The children of world leaders really get to live in a completely different dimension.

@N01UKnowNV @Turkeybait90037 @FoxNews If you get gas today, it costs about as much as it did under Biden. Do you remember when we were promised "cheap gas and no new wars"? I remember that lie. Your way is not better; It's just a different kind of bad.

WATCH: U.S. forces carry out a ninth straight night of strikes against Iran. CENTCOM says the latest operation targets Iranian military command centers, air defenses, missile and drone launch sites, coastal surveillance systems, maritime capabilities, and communications networks. The strikes are aimed at further reducing Iran's ability to threaten commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM adds U.S. forces remain "highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready."

@PlanetOfMemes @BasedMikeLee "Does it save puppies?" "What? No, it provides more funding to bomb brown people in 3rd world countries" "Then why is it called the save puppies act?" "Shut up and vote for it or you're a commie!"

@PlanetOfMemes @BasedMikeLee That really is a good selling point, but heres the thing... What else is in the bill? I only ask because they voted, overwhelmingly, against single act bills. Has anyone actually read the "Save America Act"? I'm reminded of a meme: "pass the save puppies bill!"

The SAVE America Act doesn’t make it harder to vote. It makes it harder for noncitizens to offset or steal your vote. It makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat!

@gturner6ppc @atensnut Instead of the "get rid of dems and all will be well" lie, I offer you a reality: Both sides are corrupt. Neither side has your best interests at heart. Cheering for republicans while denouncing democrats is simply promoting the lesser of 2 evils.

@gturner6ppc @atensnut Look at republican controlled states/areas. Most are rural and poor. Your way is not better. Regardless, we are all paying ~$4 a gallon for gas. Republicans control the house, senate, and have the presidency. Why are we not living in a perfect world? Reps = almost as bad as dems

@awanderingjohn @MensHumor We do not have minimum wage laws because some fool just decided it would be a good idea to have them... Our laws are (in theory) the product of people and lawmakers attempting to improve our lives.

@awanderingjohn @MensHumor But as was shown before min wage laws, if there is no minimum you have to pay your employees, companies will pay as little as possible. I'm not a commie touting universal income, but capitalism does require some restraints. Remember, we are a democratic republic

I remember when the argument was "we can’t raise minimum wage because it would make a cheeseburger cost $15." ...And now a cheeseburger cost $15 anyway.

@DukeofDville @TodayinHistory @grok Ask Grok a question for me. Ask it, "What were the leading causes for the collapse of the Roman Empire". If you take into account that this was ~2k years ago, there are a frightening number of similarities to modern day America.

Today in 64 AD, the Great Fire of Rome broke out and raged for six days. Legend says that Emperor Nero either started the fire and played the fiddle while it burned, but no evidence supports this.

@awanderingjohn @MensHumor Until 1971, the paper that you and I trade was backed by the promise of gold in the US reserve. That is the only thing that gave our currency value. Since then, it has been backed by nothing but our military might. It's all just 1s and 0s now. Money is no longer real.

@awanderingjohn @MensHumor I'll give an example: Let's say you sell coffee. I want to buy your coffee. I hand you a worthless piece of paper. Will you give me coffee? Not if your sane; my paper is worthless. Do you understand?
