The goal of any distribution should be to get the initial tokens into the hands of the most aligned users. It used to be easy, it was just your users -- they believed in the product and used it regardless. Now it's a minefield of mercenaries who don't believe in it at all but think that farming it is +EV and will just move on after, i.e. using the protocol is "just a trade" to them. Adding another eligibility metric of 'donate to protocol guild' felt like a way to create shared alignment with our core principles and really the principles the entire space was built on. Immutable, permissionless, censorship-resistant infrastructure owned by all. It would have been so much easier to *NOT* do this. All of the money was donated directly to @ProtocolGuild, @LayerZero_Fndn additionally is donating $10m, like so so so so much easier not to do it overall but it felt like it could actually start a conversation and also build alignment. Didn't play out that way (obv), you see the 'airdrops are dead' conversation definitely starting everywhere have seen 100 posts on it since but it's clear we didn't build the alignment we wanted and had immense backlash. So impressed by what @PrimordialAA and the @LayerZero_Labs team have built and, more important, the way in which they've done it: with a focus on engineers, durable users, and long-term growth. Bryan's conviction and vision allow LayerZero to test truly unique approaches - like the first-of-its-kind attack on sybils and proof-of-donation concept - free from concern of short-term reactions. Even if you're not into crypto, I recommend listening to any interview with Bryan just because I think he's a great entrepreneur with a fascinating mind. Lol I thought airdrops would save us from the toxic work culture, but looking at the recent ones, it feels like nothing's changed, lol. In a mid-tier job, you get your paycheck at the end of the month while your boss hurls slurs at you daily. It's no different from grinding for airdrops, only to be called an e-beggar after wasting all that energy and time clicking buttons and paying fees. Sure, you can try to maximize your gains with multiple wallets, but isn’t that just like working multiple jobs? Back in the day, airdrops were different. You’d get rewards unknowingly, like buying an ENS domain because it was cool and handy, then getting the $ENS airdrop for holding it. Same with $UNI Airdrop for just 1 swap or and DeFi activity on uniswap Nowadays, the airdrop scene feels more like a beta tester job: less fun, more hectic, and more PvP-like, fighting for a spot on a random leaderboard with forced LPs and locks. Arbitrum: 11% allocated to over 600,000 users. Their RFP was a completely separate allocation. Optimism: 14% allocated for airdrops. So far, they have conducted four rounds of airdrops. The first one was 5%, but only 250,000 individuals were eligible. Zksync: Although I shouldn't be discussing this, they failed in terms of criteria but not allocation. They stayed true to their promises. They allocated a whopping 17.5% to the community, which many expected LayerZero to do because both projects acquired a large number of durable users simultaneously. They were the two most talked-about projects in web3 for a long time. Wormhole: 6.17%, all unlocked. RFP is not included. Around 400,000 users were eligible. There are many more examples we could discuss. Allocating just 5% to core users is the lowest so far, especially for a project that has generated significant revenue and received substantial funding. There's no excuse for this unless the VCs, who own the project, have made a permanent decision. I'm not trying to FUD at all. I'm just stating nothing but pure facts.

Just to give everyone decent scope of timeline here, 7-8 hours is my guess. Lots to do. On it! Feedback on false positives def super helpful have already flagged hundreds of clusters to toss

If there is a cluster here that is wrong or a report that can be proven wrong, we will remove it. This is not for individual appeals so it's not on a per address basis. Please list clusters that are clearly wrong and *WHY* the methodology is clearly wrong or how to prove it contains false positives. Please provide feedback within the next 24 hours if possible. There are a few bounty hunter reports that have been approved but have not yet been included in the list, the list may update slightly tomorrow but 99% is here. ALL of these Bounty Hunter reports are running through secondary checks with @nansen_ai and @chaoslabs, any clusters flagged in their automated sybil flows -- we will update the final list with all clusters rejected by the secondary checks after. 1:45am so I will be sleeping for the next few hours. May God have mercy on my notifications for the morning.
