I heard y'all like audio effects. Here, we can send a sound into JS, Faust, Csound and then into C, all in the browser! (Shoutout to WASM) The canvas is, of course, the world famous @tldraw.

@Ashvala @nonety_pe @tldraw Ah that makes sense! Very cool project nonetheless, just wanted to offer my 2c as someone who would potentially be your target audience I appreciate you cooking up your own CNN too, feel like most people would just rip off a model

Coming soon to @nonety_pe: draw to engrave the music. Built on top of everyone' s favorite drawing tool, @tldraw and a simple 300k parameter CNN.

@_Beora @nonety_pe @tldraw Yes, I completely agree and this will be fixed by the time it ships. The confirmation flow exists right now simply as a way to evaluate real-world performance of the CNN. The test set F score was good, but y'know...

@Ashvala @nonety_pe @tldraw Gotta think about the UX flow more - the people who actually would use a product like this would not want to have to sit there confirming every note every time, they'll want to write quickly (entire chords at once or top lines) and wouldn't want that flow interrupted

So, I recently moved to Boston again and there was a snowstorm yesterday. A natural consequence of being stuck indoors is to wonder if it's possible to run doom with only @tldraw's rectangles as pixels. The answer is yes (WASM), but it's super slow. (Coming soon to @nonety_pe)

People who do optical music recognition: any good publicly available models out there besides oemer or homr?

@davidteren @tldraw Broadly, it's a result of running OCR on written strokes on a canvas and figuring out if they represent a meaningful chord symbol. The timeline shape is able to schedule the playback of things that expose a play/run button. This is the what we're building at @nonety_pe :)

It is amazing that at a time of war, there is not one Indian channel we can trust. The choice is between silence and fantasy: they even engineered a coup last night, and destroyed a port. A nation can work effectively only if every part of it works competently.

After no progress at all for 2 years after the below tweet, I have found a way to listen to podcasts, in a surprisingly frequent way, and without a loss to other useful/fun activities.
Sanjeev Vaidyanathan@sanhelmet

Question: I have a difficult time going through podcasts/audio (much prefer transcripts). Yet, I constantly come across interesting ones that I would like to listen to. If this sounds like you and but you have found a way to regularly listen to podcasts, please tell me how!
