And then the most #horrible dilemma again; = which book to read next. The more I read, the more work I have cut out for me and the more places I should really go. (With or without your help)

Strong UAE Warning from Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Group CEO: “Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz is economic terrorism targeting every nation in the world, with consequences far exceeding energy markets. No country should be allowed to hold Hormuz hostage… This is not aggression against one nation—it’s economic terrorism against everyone!” The UAE stands firm in protecting the global economy and the Gulf

Flashback to Datong before they decided to rebuild the city walls in some great gesture. I never got around to revisit but i'd love to and find out what changed. Plenty to see and visit in the surroundings too. As always, North China, grime, dust but gotta love it.

𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗡 New footage has emerged of what appears to be one of the 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 — a major ammunition depot in southern Iran going up in a chain-reaction blast. This is what "degrading Iran's ability to project regional power" looks like in practice. Every missile, every rocket, every artillery round stored in that depot is gone. It cannot be used against American forces in the region. It cannot be transferred to H-z-b, the Houthis, or any other Iranian proxy. It 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲. The timing matters. While negotiations are actively underway — with Witkoff, Kushner, and Iran's parliament speaker at the table — the military campaign has not stopped. The five-day pause covers 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. It does not cover ammunition depots. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵. And while he talks, America keeps hitting.

This is likely the biggest export control violation in American history: attempting to smuggle $2.5 billion in America’s crown-jewel AI technologies to China. The Chip Security Act would create security mechanisms to ensure that the Chinese Communist Party couldn’t steal their way to winning the AI Arms Race. justice.gov/opa/pr/three-c…

Ken Cao-The China Crash Chronicle
Great insight. China wants to lead the world but nobody wants to follow. Xi keeps talking about a “multipolar world.” Don’t buy it. What Communist China really wants is a unipolar world—just with Xi at the very top. Here’s the good news for the world: the Chinese system doesn’t scale. English remains the language of global commerce—Mandarin isn’t fit at all for that role. The USD dominates global finance—China still runs a closed capital account with no real rule of law. And soft power matters: people line up to enter the American system, not the Chinese one. In fact, more and more Chinese elites are choosing to flee China, hence the astonishing amount of capital outflows. Can China integrate diverse cultures, ideas, and talent at scale? Look at Xinjiang. Look at Hong Kong. Look at Taiwan. Look at Jack ma and Li Ka-shing. A true hegemon attracts. It doesn’t coerce. The world doesn't want to learn Chinese, trade in RMB or live like China.

If you haven't been NOTICING this about Tucker Carlson, then you should by now. This is a mask slip moment. What he's touting here is multipolarity, which is nothing more than a politically correct way to say American decline. The Chinese Communist Party has been chanting the exact same tune for years - a “peaceful rise,” a “multipolar world order,” and “shared power” with America. They couch it in such docile language knowing full well what it means - the slow erosion of American primacy while they build up their military capacity, steal tech, and dominate global supply chains. Furthermore, Pax Sinica (a Chinese-led world order) and Pax America are fundamentally incompatible and mutually exclusive. They are antithetical systems. One cannot expand without shrinking the other. Beijing explicitly views the current US-led order as “an unfair constraint to its rise” and wants to replace its norms with its own. Indeed it has violated many of these terms that defined the Post WWII order and the US, until Trump came along, did nothing in response to these violations. These include trade violations, territorial claims in the South China Sea, sketchy dual-use operations and tech, etc. Multipolarity or “sharing power” is not a peaceful compromise - it’s the transition phase between one Pax and the next. The CCP has never hidden that it wants a China-led order. The United States (until recently) never hid that it intends to preserve the one it built. These two peaces cannot coexist any more than Pax Britannica and Pax Germania could have co-ruled Europe in 1914. That’s why “multipolarity” is just Western declinism with better branding. America First isn’t about imperialism. It’s about refusing to live under rules and norms written in Beijing. Tucker has shown he's not America First.

Denk maar niet dat de NOS het nieuws zal openen met de mededeling dat Mark Rutte als secretaris-generaal van de NAVO zich 100% achter Trump heeft opgesteld in de campagne tegen Iran.

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢'𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘'𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗡'𝗧. Mark Rutte leads the most powerful military alliance on earth. He just looked directly into the camera and said what Germany, France, and Britain have been carefully avoiding saying out loud. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. He laid out exactly why. Iran's nuclear capability and ballistic missile program pose an existential threat to Israel. A direct threat to the entire region. A threat to Europe. A threat to the whole world. The NATO Secretary General — the man whose entire job is the collective security of the Western alliance — is saying that what Trump is doing is not optional. It is necessary. This matters enormously. Rutte is not a Trump ally. He is not an American. He is the head of an institution that has been repeatedly criticized, pressured, and threatened by Trump over burden-sharing. He has every political incentive to hedge, equivocate, and issue carefully worded statements that satisfy nobody and offend nobody. Instead he praised the president's leadership on camera — directly, without qualification. The contrast with European heads of government is stark. Keir Starmer said it was "not a NATO mission." Germany said it was "not our war." France wouldn't send its aircraft carrier. They applaud the outcome while refusing to share the burden — and they won't even say publicly what their own alliance chief is saying privately and now publicly. Rutte knows the truth that Europe's elected leaders are too politically cautious to admit: the Iranian nuclear program was not a problem that was going to solve itself through diplomacy, sanctions, and strongly worded UN resolutions. Seven American presidents tried that approach. The centrifuges kept spinning. The missiles kept improving. The proxies kept k!lling. Trump did what needed to be done. The head of NATO just confirmed it. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 — 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Between 2005 and 2023, the number of Chinese nationals working across the UN system rose from 579 to 1,664, an increase of 187%. Some have taken on leadership roles, in order to “shape UN decision-making to align with China’s national interests.”

Does this silly little man not understand that Islam is a very aggressive belief system, threatening death to anyone who does not convert to Islam The Buddhists, the Taoists, the Scottish Presbyterians, the Hindus and the Sikhs and the Confucians and the Catholics don't go around shouting about beheading people they disagree with Is this too much for your tiny little brain to take in ? Oh. The doorbell rang. The police I assume...

Indeed. Whenever Jews are attacked (typically by Muslims), it is important to redouble our efforts to fight against Islamophobia.

Reports out of Fars Province say Mohammad Khosravani, an Iranian judicial official tied to the crackdown on protesters and to the case against Navid Afkari, was targeted in Larestan County. Khosravani has been identified in human rights reporting as a prosecutor in Shiraz linked to politically charged cases. Navid Afkari, the Iranian wrestling champion, became a global symbol of regime repression after the 2018 protests. He was executed in 2020 following a case marked by torture allegations and international outrage. This is what the regime’s “justice system” looks like: coerced confessions, politicized prosecutions, and death sentences used to silence dissent. 22 MAR 2026 | 12:00 ET ET SOURCE: Daily ISRAEL24 (@dailyISRAEL24)
