People don't realise what does it mean to have 1.5 billion people and its impact. Yes, currently we are relatively poor but even with the moderate speed with which we are growing we will become an economic power huge enough for the entire Muslim world, let alone tiny Turkey. We have no enmity with them but they under Erdogan have considered it to be an official policy to make an enemy out of India. So we will give them what they want. Hopefully, 10-15 years down the line Erdogan's successors will change their policy else the massive scale of India itself can give them a run for their money. No it will not be an American style war where we will fight for sake of some random policy not impacting us. Here sovereignty of India is being questioned so India's response will be in a similar manner and disproportionate in scale if required.
