@HonChinsinga Honourable Minister. Thank you for the information. This is greatly appreciated. However, my question is why does the govt want to institutionalise these committees instead of Ward Development Committeee which is the appropriate jurisdiction of councillors?

Fellow Malawians, I would like to inform you that it is my zeal and that of the Malawi Government, to champion transformation from the grassroots level. This is in line with the country's aspirations contained in the Malawi 2063.

One issue that comes forth with the current review of the Local Government Act, is the establishment of the Area and Village Development Committees (ADCs & VDCs), as legal local structures recognised by law, a move away from current mere administrative arrangement.

@onjezani We're under typical mind slavery, colonized even in the brains that we're unable to make sound decisions for ourselves and the so called donors are always happy that malawi (Africa) is always at it's knees begging for grace.🤦🚮 It's absurd.
