How do content creators win the algorithm lottery on different platforms? I fall asleep to YouTube videos every night. I leave auto play on and every night I’m woken up by the same creator that I have never once clicked on. They aren’t playing the same game, same genre, nothing.

@VernNotice In my YT backend I can see other channels that my viewers watch so they may just be putting you in that sort of bucket first. You watch X, lots of people who watch X also watch Y, maybe you will like Y

I have a couple of issues- 1) it’s always a larger, established creator and if I’m just letting videos run I feel like it would be a good opportunity to put new or smaller creators in that run. 2) if I never interact with said creator, why does YouTube continue to pump them?
