If you don't mind, let me explain something to you: Chinese cars aren't inferior because they're cheap. They're cheap because: 1. Companies like BYD produce everything needed for their cars including the batteries, chips and seat. Nothing is imported. No middleman profit. 2. They have the government's support: The Chinese government subsides these key products so that it will be cheaper for buyers. This is why America is not cool with it because if these cars get into the US, American car companies will struggle to compete. 3. Low labour cost: Labour cost in China is far less than in the US or Germany. This is why iPhones aren't manufactured in the US because the labour cost will make it too expensive for buyers to afford. Low labour cost makes production in China less expensive. 4. Competition between companies: The Chinese market is the most competitive in the world that's why their products are vase and highly techy compared to the price. This competition further pushes the price down. Chinese cars aren't inferior just like their phones. Companies like Xiaomi, Huawei and BYD are really pulling weight in the car production sector. Outside Honda or Acura, my dream car is a Chinese electric car like Yangwang U8, an electric SUV that's absolutely amazing. Allow Chinese cars in America and they'll dominate.

So this is how we are thinking of redesigning the Igbo apprenticeship program “Igba boy”. For the pilot program, we will likely take in 200 persons to engage in the training on global quality carpentry, bricklaying, tilling, plumbing, HVAC, POP and electricals. The trainees will engage in an intensive 1 year program which they will be housed and fed. No holidays during the program. An additional 3 months will be on business and commercialization. Once they complete the cohort and they meet the standards set, they will be settled with a good amount of money to build on the business arm of their skills. In 2025, NNPCL remitted N14.7 trillion into the federation account for sharing by the three tiers of government while NUPRC remitted N8.5 trillion. That means a total of N23.2 trillion REVENUE came from oil out of the N35 trillion inflows into the federation account in 2025. Mind you, the N23.2 trillion is not the total amount earned from crude oil sales, it's the portion of it that flows into the federation account after the oil companies must have made necessary cost deductions and taken their profit. So, when you talk about REVENUE for Nigeria, you're talking about the money that will enter into the public purse. So, I wonder how on earth Aba shoe and garment industry will generate N23.2 trillion (around $17 billion) in tax revenue for Nigeria annually! For context, the GDP of Abia in 2023 is under N4 trillion (less than $3 billion). GDP o, not revenue. So, when we make statements, let's tone down on the unrealistic projections please.
