547 days after Hurricane Helene, U.S. 64 is officially reopening Saturday, March 28. This moment marks a powerful milestone in our recovery as it’s the first corridor to reopen and a true sign of progress for our community.

I ❤️ Weaverville, & Lake Louise (with the hidden waterfall). That's the park where I like to walk!

How many of y’all love Weaverville, North Carolina? 💛 For our family, this is where it all began. Our roots started on this end of town — and it gave us so much. From raising a family to building a life, working hard, and being part of a truly special community… Weaverville will always feel like home. Weaverville dates back to the late 1700s and was officially incorporated in 1875. One of the most interesting things about this little town? It’s long been known as an arts hub in Western North Carolina. Today, it’s home to the Weaverville Art Safari — a self-guided tour where you can visit local artists in their studios, right here in town. It’s a perfect example of how creativity has always been part of Weaverville’s identity. Now, as a suburb of Asheville in Buncombe County, Weaverville is growing fast — and in all the right ways. New restaurants, breweries, art spaces, and small businesses are popping up, while the town still holds onto that welcoming, small-town feel. If you’re visiting Weaverville, here are a few things we’d tell you not to miss: • A peaceful walk around Lake Louise Park (and that hidden waterfall 👀) • Exploring Main Street for local shops and galleries • Checking out local eats + breweries • Slowing down and soaking in the mountain-town charm Weaverville isn’t just growing — it’s thriving in 2026. And no matter how much it changes, it still holds onto the heart that made so many of us fall in love with it in the first place. If you know, you know 💫 #WeavervilleNC #VisitWeaverville #VisitWNC #SmallTowns #MainStreetWNC

Another amazing wine tour across Western North Carolina! 🍷 We spent the weekend exploring more of the incredible wineries across the mountains, and this route did not disappoint. Our first stop was Grandfather Vineyard & Winery in Banner Elk. Nestled right along the Watauga River with stunning views of Grandfather Mountain, this spot is absolutely beautiful. The vineyard produces a great lineup of wines including reds, whites, and sparkling options, and the setting is perfect for relaxing with a glass while enjoying the mountain scenery. Next up was Linville Falls Winery, and this place has such a unique charm. Known for their award-winning wines and gorgeous vineyard views, they offer everything from classic varietals to fruit wines made with locally grown ingredients. The relaxed atmosphere and scenic backdrop make it a fantastic place to slow down and enjoy the day. Western North Carolina has so many hidden gem wineries, and every trip reminds us how special the region’s wine scene really is. If you’re thinking about planning a wine adventure, we’ve mapped out several winery tour routes across WNC featuring some amazing vineyards you may have never heard of. Plan a wine tour here: toashevilleandbeyond.com/asheville-wnc-… Cheers to discovering more incredible wineries in the mountains! 🍷 #ToAsheville #WNCWine #NCWine #WineTour #ExploreWNC

Heads up #WNC! I've got bad news for those enjoying the Spring weather this week. Mid March will feature a few strong cold fronts and wild temperature swings. Winter will make a return, including snow chances. ❄️🥶 The first timeframe to watch is the 12th/13th. Arctic air will be brief but strong, with good potential for a NW flow snow event. Even more chances loom before the month's end. Stay tuned!

From the daily grind at the AO to the PAX absolutely crushing the Land to Lake Relay, the acceleration is real. Huge respect to the men who pushed through the miles—iron sharpening iron in its purest form. Next week, no better time to show up. So what are you waiting for men?
