In 2018 I ran my first half marathon on a dare. I struggled but did it - in 3hrs. I've run a lot since but haven't done another 21km. Last Sunday I finally did. And finished in just over 2 hours. It was great to challenge myself and help raise $1.6 million for charity

@danielsgoldman Americans would still vote this over a more qualified Black/Brown woman any day.

@WinstonWeed @Lady_FanAccount Yeah, I'm sure you were with Prince when he made that...joke.
English

@Mollyploofkins Obviously, Vets and their family members were not offended enough not to vote for him so...oh well.

@TheCradleMedia Because of social media, you can now see why a lot of "actions" happened in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Honestly.

VIDEO | 'I wonder if everyone in Lebanon understands that every time they have a delicious bite of seedless watermelon ... they should say thank you [to Israel]'
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee told the people of Lebanon that they should be grateful for Israeli technological and agricultural innovations. Speaking at the Atlas Awards in Tel Aviv, Huckabee listed inventions like cell phones, USB drives, cherry tomatoes, and seedless watermelons, arguing that Lebanese citizens should cross the border to shake hands and thank Israelis rather than refusing to speak to them.
The remarks come amid an intense Israeli bombing campaign in Lebanon that local health officials state has killed over 3,000 people since March.
Huckabee, a staunch Christian Zionist, has previously affirmed his support for the concept of a "Greater Israel," stating it would be fine if Israel took over all of West Asia from the Nile to the Euphrates based on biblical texts.
The ambassador has additionally been a vocal proponent of the ongoing US-backed Israeli war against Iran, which has reached a strategic stalemate following Tehran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

@NgocThach74 I think this scene is when they were on Oprah's set and the excitement got the better of Carlton. I was very surprised to find out that in real life Alfonso was the much better dancer than Will. 🤣
English

In ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ Alfonso Ribeiro showed up to his callback audition for Carlton wearing an Adidas tracksuit — the complete opposite of the buttoned-up preppy style Carlton would become famous for.
He got the role anyway. The Carlton dance itself came about because the script simply said “Carlton dances” with zero further instruction, and Ribeiro had to invent the entire thing on the spot.

@blaugranaana I considered Off Campus because of Mika Abdalla but since she's not the lead I lost interest. Her love interest was also predictable.

English

The actors in Off Campus are barely passable. Let’s not talk nonsense now lmao
It’s ok if you prefer hetro romance, but a better show 🤡
Zain@cowboylikezain
unpopular opinion: off campus is a much better show and it deserves the same success and acclaim they gave heated rivalry

@blaugranaana And I move on easily. If it was that good, I seek books from the same author or similar books from different authors. It's why cancellation of tv series does not bother me long. Plenty others to pivot to or expect.
English

@blaugranaana It is why I have copies of my books on my phone so that I can read instead of scrolling through social media. Works for me when I am in transit or during long wait periods (clinic/govt building). But not to the extent of one book a week. I have an active outdoor life. 😂
English

I feel called out 😂
But I think sending extra time with books and ruminating on what you’re actually reading is also why some of us can’t do 1 book a week. I genuinely can’t just get over a really good book after it was my whole life & move on so easily.
min@minsessed
one book a week is completely plausible but you all spend half your day on your phones so you think it's impossible

@ZaraTaban @SecRubio @IsraelWarRoom A country with a history of racism and killing its own citizens for protesting it is who you want to save you? Speak louder, they can't hear you over the sound of oil they are stealing from Venezuela, and the cries of victims of genocide in Palestine and Southern Lebanon.
English

Respectfully, Mr. Secretary: The President and his team must first honor their promises to the Iranian people before making pledges to anyone else. Tens of thousands were massacred in the January protests. Hundreds have been detained and hanged ever since under the shadow of war.

The U.S. stands firmly with the legitimate Government of Lebanon as it works to restore its authority and build a better future for all its people. Hizballah's threats of violence and overthrow will not be allowed to succeed. The era in which a terrorist group held an entire nation hostage is coming to an end.
